All animals sold, bartered, or exchanged in any way shape or form are the sole responsibility of the parties involved.

The Chicago Herpetological Society in no way, shape, or form endorses any merchant, seller, or potential buyer, and is NOT responsible for any ramifications or liabilities that may occur between buyer and merchant.

Pricing is subjective and based on what the seller believes the market value of the animal to be. All negotiating should be done through PM's or emails. If you do not agree with the seller's final price, then do not buy the animal.

All persons posting ads on the Chicago Herpetological Society's classified section must be a current paid member of the CHS. To receive permission to post an ad send a PM to Jason Hood to have your classified account activated. Please give 24-48 hours for activation and included both your real name and screen name.

The CHS strongly promotes ownership of legal, captive-bred animals. All transactions in the classified forum are subject to all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Transacting members are responsible for adhering to the applicable laws and must be able to provide necessary documentation such as permits or licenses required by enforcing agencies.

The CHS encourages all sellers, to the best of their abilities, to inform the buyers as to the proper care and needs of all animals, including the adult size of the animal and the best caging needed for the adults. Please do your best to be an informative seller. There are enough animals in our adoption program. We should be encouraging a more knowledgeable buyer.

Any ads believed to be selling illegal animals will be removed at the moderator's discretion. The offending ad will be turned over to the proper authorities.
